A classic mountain bike holiday in the UK
. Ambleside, at the northern end of Windermere in the Lake Distict, is the base for this fantastic weekend of riding. Taking in some of the most rewarding and challenging trails the Lake District has to offer, miles of top notch cross country riding under the shadow of the Old Man O'Coniston, heart racing descents and breathtaking views - these are some of the best technical trails anywhere in the UK.
This is a weekend for those who want a bit of a challenge, mountain biking in a beautiful setting! If you've found out how much fun you can have on a mountain bike on your local trails or at one of the many trail centres scattered around the UK, then it's time you headed to the 'real' outdoors and join us in a different part of the UK!
These fun weekends, are all fully guided with at least two MIAS qualified biking guides and fully supported with a vehicle and driver too. Based in quality B&B's and pubs, train station pick-ups and drop-offs from either Penrith or Windermere Station can be arranged. With hearty breakfasts and lush lunches the order of the day, all you need to decide is what to have as your evening meal and which local ale you'll be sampling.
Which ever weekend you're on, whether it's an introductory one or one of our tougher weekends, we'll be on hand to guide you through the tricky sections helping you to progress your and improve your skills. If you've never tried it before, just look for our Grade 1 to 2 weekends; our Grade 3 weekends are suitable for regular cyclists with a degree of off road experience; or if you want to try more challenging trails, try Grade 4 to 5.
Each trip is kept specifically small at between six to fourteen riders enabling us to cater for different fitness and experience levels within the grading. If you don't have a bike or simply don't fancy washing it at the end of the weekend, then we've got good quality bikes for hire. We'll even put on your own special weekend if there are a group of you and our dates just don't fit.
