With breath-taking views of hills and moorland, intriguing rock formations, and easy access by road and rail, the Peak District is the perfect destination for a cycling holiday; a place that will refresh, relax and challenge you. The variety of routes available to you will give the opportunity to discover the beauty and history of this charming area, balanced out by relaxing evenings at your accommodation. You will be staying in a comfortable country house with a lovely garden, perfect for relaxing with a well-earned pint of local ale.
Old railway lines converted to cycle paths make this hilly area achievable by bike. You can enjoy traffic-free cycling and scenic views from the Tissington Trail and the High Peak Trail, passing through the limestone countryside of the White Peak. The Manifold Trail, another old railway line, takes you through a narrow limestone valley, with steep wooded slopes and caves aplenty. Elsewhere, the routes follow quiet country roads with some steeper, rewarding climbs.
This holiday is available as a 3 or 4 night break, giving you 2 or 3 days to explore the area on your bike. For the 4 night break, pick the optional 4 night supplement. If you would like to extend your stay beyond 4 nights, please just give us a call.
For most of the season, 3 night breaks begin on Fridays and 4 night breaks begin on Mondays.
