We had a great week despite the mixed weather, beautiful coastline, friendly hotels, safe cycling tracks. I was glad we added extra rest days and would recommend this as it gave us time to enjoy the beaches and relax as well as cycling. Each cycle was interesting and different on beautiful coastline with great beaches.
We thought the route maps and descriptions were great. We added a km here and there on day 1 but from there on had no issues.

We enjoyed all the days but the last day kayaking was probably the most memorable. Seeing the start of the Sella race was amazing and then kayaking down with crowds of celebrating Spaniards through lovely scenery was fantastic fun. We also very much enjoyed the cycling, although because it was often off road with some steep descents we found it more challenging than expected on the first 2 days.
The ride is aimed at the active family that do a bit of cycling and like to explore, taking you on an undulating route through some of Europe’s most stunning coastal scenery. At times the roads will be a little busier as you head into urban areas, so children must be comfortable with this. There are lots of other activities and places of interest to keep the children interested. For the surfing lesson you will be under the guidance of qualified instructors but everyone taking part needs to be a confident swimmer. There is a local train service (the FEVE railway) running along the coast, stopping at most villages; with a little planning, this is an easy option if you would like to shorten any days or hang out at the beach in the afternoon – a great option to have with children.
