Holiday Information

If you are looking for a fun-filled, family cycling holiday in Spain, then we've got a treat in store for you. This exciting trip is set on the stunning shores of Andalucia's Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) and is tailored to meet the needs of active families.
Each day there will be a choice of biking routes varying in length, from a short 11 mile ride up to around 31 miles. Some rides offer a shorter route back to the hotel, with those that wish to bike a little longer being able to take advantage of the extra riding options, making sure everybody in the family is getting their cycling fix whilst on holiday.
If you need a little variety throughout the week to stimulate the whole family, the Costa de la Luz doesn’t just offer great biking routes. Water sports are abundant along the coast and whether your family would like to take a surf lesson, scuba dive or sea kayak, you can easily arrange this during the week. You can also go whale watching or take a trip across the Straits of Gibraltar to Tangiers to sample the exotic Moroccan culture.
This particular holiday in Andalucia is two centre based and begins close to the small, vibrant fishing port of Tarifa. You have a choice of accommodations for both halves of the holiday including yurts, beachside cabins, beautiful apartments and rural hotels. With our base in Southern Spain close to Tarifa, do feel free to contact us with any special requests you may have relating to your holiday requirements, and let us know which variety of accommodations might suit you best!
If you would prefer to travel with other families, as part of a group, then take a look at our guided version of this holiday.

Is this holiday suitable for your family?

This trip is designed for active families who cycle regularly and are looking to enjoy more on a family cycling holiday. The trip is two centre based so you can break up the cycling by having a rest day in the accommodation if you so choose. The routes are easily tailored to suit individual family’s needs, so it’s great if you need to increase or decrease the distances to suit as the week progresses. There are plenty of other activities to look out for and entertain during the day’s cycle, with lots of water sports on offer, so it’s a great trip if you‘re looking to mix cycling with other activities. Emergency backup is available from the local team, but it’s best if you‘re happy and comfortable fixing common issues like punctures.
