The sea here will be warmer than in Cornwall in July, so watersports are on the cards. But don’t spend all your time on a surfboard. The Coastal Adventurer tour, from Skedaddle, explores coast and countryside via self-guided family-sized bike rides.
The Times (2017), 'Grab an Easter getaway'
Our favourite day had to be day 3 (Pirate Coast, tailored to our needs by Dan Hirst). It was tough at times, but we saw hardly a soul (just animals and birds) and enjoyed some stunning scenery and rocky beaches that the children loved. All finished off by a (very) late and large tapas-style lunch in Tarifa in the sunshine.
This was our second Skedaddle Holiday and it was, in many ways, very different from the first (in Austria). What we enjoy so much is the independence afforded us, whilst having the “difficult” bits of the holiday organised and arranged. Thank you!
This trip is designed for active families who cycle regularly and are looking to enjoy more on a family cycling holiday. The trip is two centre based so you can break up the cycling by having a rest day in the accommodation if you so choose. The routes are easily tailored to suit individual family’s needs, so it’s great if you need to increase or decrease the distances to suit as the week progresses. There are plenty of other activities to look out for and entertain during the day’s cycle, with lots of water sports on offer, so it’s a great trip if you‘re looking to mix cycling with other activities. Emergency backup is available from the local team, but it’s best if you‘re happy and comfortable fixing common issues like punctures.
